Introducing…Nyama Catering
We love meeting our clients at our Open Days and we’re supported by a great host of suppliers who who we take great pleasure in showcasing here.
Today we kick off with Nyama, which is run by Johannes Burger and George Zaayma. Johannes is truly someone who believes in living up to his name! See what we did there? 🙂
Nyama Catering are the friendliest bunch of barbecuers who started off as a South African Braai company but their popularity grew so very quickly that they now offer a mesmerising array of catering options, including their signature relaxed, rustic BBQ which wonderfully matches the inviting ambience of our teepees.
As a result Nyama have now started to host their own Open Days which they hold in our stunning teepees. This gives clients the opportunity to come and taste a variety of their offerings in a fabulous set up. From a cocktail reception, canapes, a global BBQ journey to an array of delicious puddings, Nyama will impress you and leave you satisfyingly full!
We chatted to Nyama and asked them what is their secret sauce to their success. (although their banana ketchup is a particular favourite 😉 )
OK George, why are you guys so good at what you do?
At Nyama we believe in offering our clients something slightly more informal yet ultra professional and truly unique.
We believe that the success of your event revolves around the food (and drink, of course!). That’s why we have come up with a wide range of fun, informal and tasty bbq style menus that is bound to steal the show.
You’re famous for your signature South African BBQ, the Braai – what else do you do?
Although our speciality and passion is (and will always be!) BBQs, we have developed other elements of our trade to offer our clients a one-stop catering solution. Today we can provide anything from an Argentine asado to cold finger buffets, wood fired pizzas, a mobile bar, and even some yummy organic ice creams & sorbets.
Other than being the friendliest in the business, what makes you so popular?
At Nyama it has always been about exceeding customer expectations and we would not be the success story we are today if we weren’t able to get this right, time and time again.
We’ve come up with a few very good reasons why going the Nyama route should be a no-brainer:
